MTTS#15: Jersey City, NJ to Lakeville, CT
Total Daily Drive Time: 2-1/2 hours or 120 miles (8:30am – 11:30pm)
Main Route Synopsis: From the fast pace of the New York metro area to the tranquil countryside of Connecticut, this is drive day 15, the final leg of MINI Takes the States cross country journey. And the final day of the Rolex Vintage Festival at Lime Rock Park await your arrival. The drive takes you through Eastern New York before turning due East into Connecticut. This region boasts some of the top boarding and prep schools in the nation. And these schools are surrounded by some of the finest real estate around. Ranches, estates and farms dot the roadways as you motor into Connecticut on your last day of MINI Takes the States. Today, you’ll cross the line, signaling the end of this cross-country adventure, and you’ll be a better person for having done so.

I lead a group of MINIs from MINI of Fairfield County (Stamford, CT) and know some great “short cut” roads off of Rte. 22 to the track, or up through the woods. That sounds good. I would live to tag along from Jersey. There are too many good roads to stay on the main drag and I would like to view all of the festivities at Lime Rock on Monday. I will be staying at the Sheraton HQ in Jersey City.
