First dead GP?

Zoooooom posted on MINI2 today that his GP that he recently collected has problems
I collected the car on the Friday (new) and there was not popping from the exhaust on the over-run, and the idle was a bit high; on sunday the idle started going up and down on its own.
I went back on the monday they could not rectify the problem and could not get the diagnostic machine to talk to the car. Because they could not diagnose they could not fix it …
The car is booked in for monday but yesterday the engine died and the managment light came on,drove home in limp mode

Let’s hope this is a 1 in 2000 issue!
