With MINI Takes The States registration closed, we can see the final counts of people signed up for each leg:
754 – Monterey to Santa Barbara
662 – Santa Barbara to Las Vegas
471 – Las Vegas to Flagstaff
383 – Flagstaff to Albuquerque
337 – Albuquerque to Amarillo
451 – Amarillo to Dallas
479 – Dallas to Memphis
472 – Memphis to Nashville
470 – Nashville to St.Louis
587 – St.Louis to Indianapolis
536 – Indianapolis to Charleston
467 – Charleston to Charlottesville
687 – Charlottesville to Washington, DC
753 – Washington, DC to Jersey City
880 – Jersey City to Lakeville / Lime Rock [That's a lot of people!]
And … 175 people signed up for every leg (including me!)

Wow…! 175 doing the whole thing..! Didn’t look like they were going to get that many in the first few days of registration did it..!
Are there 175 GPs being delivered..? I didn’t think there were that many, so a good number of people must be driving coast to coast and back again!

Many of the 175 are repeats, or not actually doing the drive, or not doing every leg, or MINI employees …
But even so, I’d expect between 50 and 100 to do the whole drive – but no more than 5 or 10 of those are likely to be GPs.
