A peek at the underside

Many thanks to Peter, who took these couple of pictures of the underside of the GP at the New York auto show earlier this year …

It’s tricky to take a picture of the underside of a car – especially when it’s at an auto show! But the picture does show some black “underside panelling” (as mentioned in the official GP booklet) and in the original John Cooper Works announcement last year.

This second picture clearly shows the very low back part of the GP aero side skirts, a clear indication of the considerably limited ground clearance mentioned in the GP owners manual supplement:
