GP Engine removal
By Mini Madness, on Youtube – I don’t think it’s different to any other R53 MINI, but it’s still interesting to watch … With thanks to MotoringFile for the link … watch it full screen, turn up the sound, and feel like you’re in the GP, too (for posterity, I also captured it as a downloadable Quicktime movie) UPDATE: And a whole pile more, Flash’ed together over at MotoringFile It was three years ago today, that more than 30 USA GPs were delivered during a special, unique & spectacular event at Monterey! Now, three years later, some of those GPs have moved on to new owners, but many have been kept – the GP is a hard car to say goodbye to! I believe there are others still with their original owner – if you’re one of them, let me know … With many thanks to Mick and Mark (see the discussion thread in the forum), we have pictures of surely the biggest collection of GP’s in one place, since manufacturing! At least 60 GP’s got together in the middle of the Silverstone race track in England, for the recent MINI United 2009 event … GP0101 was one of the GPs delivered at Monterey back in August 2006, to Jim.

GP0101
Recently, it was traded, and purchased by Dave and Mechelle – and now there is a video feature about the car on KUSI; a few detail errors (such as the amount of reduced weight) but mostly an interesting feature, nicely reminding us of just how special these cars are!Earlier (older) Posts
